EAS in Brazil: an overview in Mental Health and Psychology

At the beginning of the EAS practices in Brazil, the aspects that were specifically focused in the therapeutic process of its patients were the motor and physical ones. Such views changed with the establishment of the multi-professional teams of Equotherapy by the National Association of Brazil, ANDE-BRASIL determining that psychologists must be included in such teams to be working side by side with Physical Therapists and Professionals of the Equitation field in every Center with vinculation to ANDE-BRASIL in the Country; This webinar will explain the development of the psychological and Mental Health areas within EAS along the period of 1989 to today also mentioning the repercussions of the Psychologists role in the therapies with horses in Brazil.
